Profile

Voted One of Canada’s Best Managed Gold Standard Winners and proud of it.

Studon has grown from a determined start-up team of 35 employees in 1995 into one of Western Canada’s largest and most respected Electrical & Instrumentation contractors, peaking at over 1000 dedicated employees.

We have concentrated on the Oil Sands and SAGD markets where we have been a proud participant in the dynamic growth of Canada’s energy sector and the economy of Western Canada. We built our team to answer any challenge and exceed all client expectations from day one.

We are now proud to be a part of the Stuart Olson family and we are stronger than ever. Our new partnership means we can provide existing and new clients with a fully integrated contractor package that is exceptional in scope. As a result, this offers a much broader range of services for any and all needs. We have grown considerably during our 20 years in the business, but we remain a company built from a tradesman point of view. We are hard-working people who find real solutions and take pride in a job well done.

People, Pride & Service. That’s Studon.

In the Community

Committed to the Greater Community

At Studon, our culture of pride in service extends beyond the workplace and into the community.

We encourage every Studon employee to play an active role in the health of their community and the wellbeing of their neighbours.

Studon and its employees give back to our community at every opportunity with our many charitable commitments. We believe that a company is only as strong as the communities and people it serves. We volunteer our time and donate our money to provide opportunities to others through our scholarships and programs.

Proud to give back – that’s Studon.

Red Deer College

Past Studon President Don Sutherland is a proud Red Deer College (RDC) alumnus and an active member of its fundraising committee. Don’s belief in RDC has inspired Studon to donate over half a million dollars in recent years.

Studon’s initial donation of $250,000 helped fund the construction of the school’s Trades Wing expansion, while the second $250,000 endowment was presented in 2014 with a threefold purpose: to provide $100,000 in continual financial aid to current and future RDC students, $100,000 for the RDC Athletic Leadership Fund, and $50,000 for programming at RDC’s Donald School of Business.

We are proud to support Red Deer College and its vital role in the community.

Studon Gives Back

Studon continues its tradition of giving back to the community. We recognize United Way of Central Alberta as our charity of choice and dedicate the month of October to raise funds for our United Way campaign. Studon not only helps fund the United Way corporately, but encourages all employees to do the same on an individual level.

Loaves & Fishes

Loaves and Fishes is an organization in Red Deer that provides food for the hungry, refuge for the weary, and comfort for the brokenhearted. The Loaves and Fishes’ primary goal is to build self-esteem, confidence and provide a listening ear to those who need it most. Studon is proud to be a part of this community initiative.
